Our Story:
Founder Carly Prosser always loved horses, but it wasn’t until age 28 that she became an equestrian after bringing Rudy - a kind, spunky Thoroughbred - into her life. Beginning her equestrian journey at such a relatively later stage proved challenging - Carly knew she had a lot of work ahead of her to properly get started, but had no idea where to begin.
The stable community was dominated by the expectation that you’d grown up riding and already knew what you were doing. Big box retailers offered an uninspiring and intimidating selection of products with no educational support. E-commerce options were fragmented and existing subscription services lacked quality and curation.
Carly saw the need for a platform that made the equestrian journey more accessible to new riders with the kind of product discovery, informative content, engaging storytelling, and supportive community. As an entrepreneur, she decided to build it herself.
Marengo was born around the thoughtful curation of innovative, high-value, practical products and beautifully crafted lifestyle goods, addressing every aspect of both horse and rider’s lives.
